“Daddio” is a film that tries to promote meaningful conversation, which is really necessary today, but sometimes comes off as extremely perversely scary. But for all the perverted and creepy moments, a lot of their conversations are honest.
Dakota Johnson does well as the cabbie’s passenger
Their banter feels like a natural conversation between two complete strangers. Part of what Penn’s “Clark” is trying to convey is to provide some much-needed advice to a woman lost in a relationship that’s going nowhere.
